Before you can ask anything, the app asks you to agree to what is sent. Once you agree, your question and the recent conversation go through the app’s server to the external AI service Z.ai. The server keeps no conversations, and your history stays on this iPhone.

2What is sent, and to whom

The app connects over HTTPS to one place only, this service’s API server; the server calls the services below. The app never contacts an AI company directly.

Question and recent conversation → Z.ai

Your new question (up to 2,000 characters) and the recent conversation (up to 50 messages, about 20,000 characters) go to the app’s server. The server sends them, with its instructions and the law-search results, to the external AI service Z.ai (GLM model) and streams the answer back to the app.

Law-search terms → law-search server

The search terms, law names and article or case numbers the AI chooses (these can contain words from your question) are sent by the server to korean-law-mcp, a third-party law-search server hosted on Fly.io, which queries 국가법령정보센터.

Cited articles → 국가법령정보센터

When you tap a cited article, the server looks up that law name (or case number) and article number at 국가법령정보센터 (Ministry of Government Legislation, law.go.kr).

Documents you attach

A file you pick (PDF, DOCX or TXT, up to 4.5 MB) is sent to the server, which extracts the text in memory and returns it to the app. The file itself is neither stored nor forwarded. With later questions, the file name and the extracted text (up to 50,000 characters) are sent to Z.ai along with the conversation. Please remove personal or sensitive details before attaching a document.

Device identifiers (including the advertising identifier), location, contacts, photos, your name, email address and phone number are not sent; the app never asks for them. Requests carry no cookies or sign-in data.

3Processing on the server and by other services

  • The server code has no database and does not store questions, answers or documents. Each request is processed and then discarded.
  • The server code writes no conversation content to its logs. The company hosting the server keeps access logs (IP address, time, requested path) under its own policy.
  • To prevent abuse and excessive requests, the server turns the IP address into an unreadable value (a salted hash), keeps it in memory only and counts requests with it. This value is never stored or logged and is cleared within a day.
  • How Z.ai and the law-search server (korean-law-mcp) process and retain what they receive is governed by their own policies.
  • The server’s hosting company and region, and the country where Z.ai processes data and how long it keeps it, will be added to this page as soon as they are confirmed, with a new effective date.

4What is stored on this iPhone

The following stays in the app’s storage on this iPhone. The developer never receives or sees it.

  • Conversation history: up to 50 conversations; beyond that the oldest is dropped.
  • Your text size and whether you agreed to sending
  • A .txt file when you save or share a generated draft: written to the app’s cache folder and handed to the iOS share sheet; iOS clears it.

5Permissions

The app asks for no camera, microphone, photos, location, contacts, notifications or tracking permission. Documents are read only when you pick one in the file picker, which needs no permission.

6What the app does not do

  • No account or sign-in.
  • No ads.
  • No tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • No usage statistics or analytics tools.
  • No in-app purchases.

7Retention and deletion

  • Conversation history stays on this iPhone until you delete it or delete the app.
  • One at a time: swipe a conversation in the conversation list or use 편집 (edit); you can undo right away.
  • All at once: 전체 삭제 (delete all) in the conversation list, or the info button → 이 기기의 대화 기록 모두 지우기 (erase all history on this device). Both ask first.
  • Deleting the app removes the history, settings and your consent choice.
  • If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, iOS may include the app’s data in that backup. Backups are kept in your Apple Account or on your computer; the developer cannot see them.
  • There is no account, so there is no account to delete. The developer holds no copy of your data, so deleted data cannot be restored.

8Diagnostics

Apple passes diagnostic information such as crash reports to the developer only if you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple runs this feature and you can turn it off at any time. 법률 정보 AI itself sends no diagnostic data.

9If you email us

Settings → 의견 보내기 (send feedback) in the app opens a new mail draft in your mail app. The draft includes the app version, the iOS version and the device model, and these reach the developer only if you choose to send the mail. When you write to sharepoint889@gmail.com, your address and message are stored in the developer’s Gmail inbox. They are used only to reply to you, are not shared with anyone, and are deleted on request.

10Children

법률 정보 AI is a legal-information tool for a general audience and is not directed at children. It collects no identity data such as names or ages and does not knowingly collect children’s data. If you have a concern, write to sharepoint889@gmail.com.

11Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the effective date above changes with it. If an update changes how the app handles information, this page is updated before that update is released.
