1What is stored on this iPhone
Everything the app stores stays in its storage on this iPhone and is not visible in the Files app. The developer never receives or sees it.
- Records: for each song and difficulty, your best score, accuracy, grade, stars, max combo and whether you got a full combo
- Timing offsets: one for each audio output (iPhone speaker, wired headphones, each Bluetooth or AirPlay device). Bluetooth and AirPlay devices are told apart by the identifier iOS gives that device; it is used only to look up the offset and never leaves the iPhone.
- Settings: note speed, haptics, haptic beat, sound effects, shake for Surge and reduce effects
- Progress: whether you have finished the how-to-play hints, and where you stopped in a song so you can continue it (cleared when you finish or quit the song)
- Counts for achievements: how often you fired Surge, how many duels you played, and whether you have done a timing check
The times you tap during a timing check are used in memory only, to work out the offset, and are not stored.
2Game Center
If you are signed in to Game Center in the iPhone Settings app, the app records your best score on each song, your star total and the achievements you earn in Apple’s Game Center. Records made while you were signed out are added when you next sign in. Duel results never go to leaderboards.
Apple handles this information under your Game Center account and its privacy policy. Who can see your leaderboard entries follows your Game Center settings. The developer has no server and does not collect or keep this information.
There is no sign-in screen in the app. Signed out, the app makes no internet connection and every feature still works. If you do not want records sent, sign out in iPhone Settings → Game Center.
3Permissions
None. The app never asks for camera, microphone, photos, location, motion and fitness or notification access. Shake for Surge uses the iOS shake gesture, which needs no permission.
4What the app does not do
- No account or sign-in of its own (Game Center is Apple’s account).
- Nothing is sent to the developer or any other server. The only internet connection is Apple’s Game Center when you are signed in. Only the privacy policy, terms of use and support links in Settings open these pages in Safari.
- No ads.
- No tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- No usage statistics, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
- No third-party SDKs, and nothing shared with third parties.
- No in-app purchases.
5AI-generated music and art
The music is AI-generated instrumental music made with Google Lyria, and artwork such as song covers and backgrounds is AI-generated. This is content built into the app: the app does not process your information with AI or send it to any AI service. Sound effects are real recordings released under an open license (CC0).
6Retention and deletion
- Data stays on this iPhone until you delete the app. The app has no menu that erases your records. A new timing check replaces the old offset.
- If the save file can no longer be read and the game starts without records, the unreadable file is kept in the same app storage so it can be checked if you contact us. It is also removed when you delete the app.
- Scores and achievements already recorded in Game Center stay with Apple after you delete the app and follow Apple’s Game Center settings and policies.
- Touch and hold the app icon on the Home Screen, then tap Remove App → Delete App. The app and all of its data on this iPhone are removed.
- If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, iOS may include the app’s data in that backup. Backups are kept in your Apple Account or on your computer; the developer cannot see them.
- The developer holds no copy of your data, so deleted data cannot be restored.
7Diagnostics
Apple passes diagnostic information such as crash reports to the developer only if you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple runs this feature and you can turn it off at any time. Beatglass itself sends no diagnostic data.
8If you email us
Settings → 의견 보내기 (send feedback) in the app opens a new mail draft in your mail app. The draft includes the app version, the iOS version and the device model, and these reach the developer only if you choose to send the mail. When you write to sharepoint889@gmail.com, your address and message are stored in the developer’s Gmail inbox. They are used only to reply to you, are not shared with anyone, and are deleted on request.
9Children
Beatglass collects no personal data from anyone, so it collects none from children either.
10Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the effective date above changes with it. If an update changes how the app handles information, this page is updated before that update is released.
