The conditions for using Soul Bookmark and what the Publisher and you are each responsible for. Soul Bookmark is not counselling, diagnosis or treatment, and your conversation history stays on this iPhone.

1About the service

These terms set out the conditions for using Soul Bookmark (the “App”), an iPhone app provided by 애플페어 (Applepair, the “Publisher”).

Soul Bookmark is not counselling, diagnosis or treatment.

Soul Bookmark (마음책갈피) finds a sentence that fits how you feel and what is happening now, together with its source. You can use 대화 (conversation: write or say what happened or how you feel) or 둘러보기 (browse: pick the help and sentence collections you need, or search). Sentences are chosen from classic literature and philosophy and from self-care sentences published by public institutions, and each sentence shows its source and why it was chosen. There is no sign-up, no ads, no tracking and no in-app purchase.

By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2Conditions of use

The App is free.
Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) also applies. If the two documents differ on the license itself, Apple’s agreement comes first.
The app connects to its server to find sentences, so you need an internet connection.
Soul Bookmark is made for adults (19 and older) and is not directed at children. The app does not ask your age.
Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

3Content you create

You own the content you write, record or upload in the App (“Content”). The Publisher does not claim ownership of it.
The Publisher handles Content only as needed to provide the App. What is stored and where it goes is described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for making sure your Content does not break the law or infringe anyone’s rights.
The text you write in a conversation (or the speech result you confirm) and the sentences you save are your Content. A conversation can include feelings or health circumstances, so do not write personal details you do not need to.
The app server does not store conversation text and uses it only to choose a sentence. Conversation history and saved sentences are stored only on this iPhone and can be deleted with Settings → 대화 모두 삭제 (delete the whole conversation) or Settings → 보관함 모두 삭제 (delete the whole library). Deleting the app deletes them, and the Publisher cannot restore them.
If you report a sentence or an answer, only which sentence (or answer) it was and the reason you chose are sent. Reports are not linked to a person, so they cannot be found and deleted per person, and they are deleted 30 days after receipt.

4AI features

Results the App’s AI creates or selects can be wrong or inaccurate. Checking and using the results is up to you.
AI results do not replace professional advice.
The default AI is Apple Intelligence. On supported iPhones where it is turned on, it reads your text on the iPhone and picks the help you need. If it is unavailable, the app server finds sentences by keywords, or you can pick conditions yourself.
The external AI Jev (TypeSafe AI) is an optional path you can use only if you choose it yourself in Settings and separately agree to external AI processing, and only where the app server offers it.
The AI is used only to choose which sentence to show and makes no decisions with legal effect. A sentence may not fit your situation or may feel uncomfortable. If so, tap 다른 말 (something else) or report it.

5Paid features

Soul Bookmark has no paid features, no in-app purchases and no ads. If digital goods are ever sold, they will be sold only through Apple In-App Purchase. In that case the content and price will be shown in the App before you buy, and these terms will be updated first. Refunds follow Apple’s policy.

6Prohibited conduct

Please do not:

hack, disassemble or modify the App, except where the law allows it
try to get around the App’s security or usage limits
break the law or infringe other people’s rights
impersonate the Publisher or anyone else
use the report feature falsely or to harass
send excessive requests or repeat requests by automated means

7Intellectual property

Rights in the App and in its name, icon, screens, text, artwork and sounds belong to the Publisher or to their respective rights holders.
You may use the App for personal purposes. This right cannot be transferred to anyone else, and these terms grant no other rights.
Where the App uses components provided under open licenses, those parts follow their own licenses.
The copyright in the sentences the app shows belongs to their authors and rights holders. The app shows each sentence’s source. When you use a sentence outside the app, please check the rights holder’s terms of use.

8Changes to or end of the service

The App can change through updates, and features can be added or removed.
Help contacts are built into the app and refreshed from the app server.
If the app server stops, sentences cannot be found.
If the Publisher decides to end the service, it will announce this on this page 30 days before. If it must stop at once for legal or safety reasons, it will stop first and announce afterwards.

9Limits of liability

The App is provided as it is. The Publisher does not guarantee that it will run without errors or interruption.
Soul Bookmark does not replace counselling, diagnosis or treatment. If you feel very distressed or in danger, find official contacts under 도움 (help) at the top of the app, such as the suicide prevention hotline (109) and the mental health crisis hotline (1577-0199). If you are in immediate danger, call 112 or 119.
Sentences the app chooses are for reference, and to the extent the law allows the Publisher is not liable for the results of decisions you make because of them.
To the extent the law allows, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or special damages arising from use of the App. This limit does not apply to damage caused by the Publisher’s intent or gross negligence, and your rights under the law are not reduced by these terms.
Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the App. Please direct questions about the App to the Publisher.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

10Changes to these terms

If the terms change, this page is updated and the “Last updated” date changes.
Changed terms are announced on this page 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before if the change is unfavourable to you.
If you do not agree to the changed terms, stop using the App. If you keep using it after they take effect, you are treated as agreeing.
If an update changes how the App handles information, the Privacy Policy is updated before that update is released.
