1What is stored on this iPhone
Everything the app stores stays in its storage on this iPhone. The developer never receives or sees it.
- To-dos: title, note, done state, dates
- Categories: name, order, lock, emoji and color
- Classification results: which category a to-do went to and how (AI, basic rules, or by you)
- Settings: category lock, new-category mode, whether onboarding was completed
2Processed only on the iPhone
AI classification
On supported iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on, the to-do text, the category names and the short titles of a few to-dos you filed yourself are passed to Apple’s on-device language model (Foundation Models) to choose a category. When the app creates a new category, the model also picks a fitting emoji for its name.
This happens only on the iPhone; nothing is sent to a server or to Private Cloud Compute, and the input is discarded after classification. Other iPhones use rules built into the app.
Voice input
The app listens only after you tap the microphone button in the input field and grant permission, and turns speech into text on the iPhone with Apple’s Speech framework. Audio exists in memory only while listening and is never stored or sent.
On first use iOS may download and manage a Korean speech model; no app data is sent. Keyboard dictation is an iOS feature governed by your iOS settings.
3Permissions
- Microphone
- To turn a spoken to-do into text. Requested the first time you tap the microphone button.
- Speech recognition
- Same purpose, requested at the same time.
Everything you can do by typing works without these permissions. You can change them at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security. The app asks for no other permissions.
4What the app does not do
- No account or sign-in.
- No internet connection: the app has no networking code and sends nothing to the developer or any server.
- No ads.
- No tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
- No usage statistics or analytics tools.
- No third-party SDKs, and nothing shared with third parties.
- No in-app purchases.
5Retention and deletion
- Data stays on this iPhone until you delete it or delete the app.
- Swipe a to-do to the left to delete it; the Undo button that appears right after brings it back.
- Swipe a category to the left in the category list to delete it. Its to-dos move to Uncategorized (미분류); a locked category must be unlocked first.
- Deleting the app removes every to-do, category and setting.
- If you use iCloud Backup or a computer backup, iOS may include the app’s data in that backup. Backups are kept in your Apple Account or on your computer; the developer cannot see them.
- The developer holds no copy of your data, so deleted data cannot be restored.
6Diagnostics
Apple passes diagnostic information such as crash reports to the developer only if you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple runs this feature and you can turn it off at any time. Smart TODO itself sends no diagnostic data.
7If you email us
Settings → 의견 보내기 (send feedback) in the app opens a new mail draft in your mail app. The draft includes the app version, the iOS version and the device model, and these reach the developer only if you choose to send the mail. When you write to sharepoint889@gmail.com, your address and message are stored in the developer’s Gmail inbox. They are used only to reply to you, are not shared with anyone, and are deleted on request.
8Children
Smart TODO collects no personal data from anyone, so it collects none from children either.
9Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, this page is updated and the effective date above changes with it. If an update changes how the app handles information, this page is updated before that update is released.
