1About the service

These terms set out the conditions for using Beatglass (the “App”), an iPhone app provided by 애플페어 (Applepair, the “Publisher”).

Beatglass is a vertical three-lane rhythm game: notes glide down glass lanes and you tap them on the hit line in time with the music. Every song has four difficulties, and Duel lets two people play against each other on one iPhone. There is no account, no ads and no in-app purchase. Records and settings are stored only on this iPhone.

By downloading or using the App you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App.

2Conditions of use

  • The App is free.
  • Apple’s Standard End User License Agreement (Apple Standard EULA) also applies. If the two documents differ on the license itself, Apple’s agreement comes first.
  • The game can be played offline. It connects to Apple’s Game Center only when you are signed in, to record leaderboards and achievements. Web pages you open from Settings, such as the privacy policy, open in Safari.
  • There is no separate age limit; the App Store age rating applies.
  • Personal data is handled as described in the Privacy Policy.

4Prohibited conduct

Please do not:

  • hack, disassemble or modify the App, except where the law allows it
  • try to get around the App’s security or usage limits
  • break the law or infringe other people’s rights
  • impersonate the Publisher or anyone else
  • Raising Game Center leaderboard scores or achievements by unfair means, such as modifying the app or using automation tools

5Intellectual property

  • Rights in the App and in its name, icon, screens, text, artwork and sounds belong to the Publisher or to their respective rights holders.
  • You may use the App for personal purposes. This right cannot be transferred to anyone else, and these terms grant no other rights.
  • Where the App uses components provided under open licenses, those parts follow their own licenses.
  • The game’s music is AI-generated instrumental music made with Google Lyria, and its artwork is AI-generated. This is also shown in the app under Settings → Credits.
  • The game’s sound effects are recordings used under an open license (CC0).

6Changes to or end of the service

  • The App can change through updates, and features can be added or removed.
  • Game Center leaderboards and achievements are a service provided by Apple. Depending on Apple, your device settings or the network, records may not be recorded or may appear late, and Apple’s terms and policies apply.
  • Timing judgement is affected by the sound delay of your device and audio output. The timing check corrects for it, but some outputs such as Bluetooth devices may not line up perfectly.
  • If the Publisher decides to end the service, it will announce this on this page 30 days before. If it must stop at once for legal or safety reasons, it will stop first and announce afterwards.

7Limits of liability

  • The App is provided as it is. The Publisher does not guarantee that it will run without errors or interruption.
  • Records are stored only on this iPhone. The game has no menu to delete records. If you delete the app or lose the device they cannot be recovered, and the Publisher keeps no copy and cannot restore them.
  • If the save file can no longer be read, the game may start again without records.
  • The game brightens and flashes the screen in time with the music. If you are sensitive to light, turn on Reduce effects in Settings, and stop playing at once if you feel unwell.
  • To the extent the law allows, the Publisher is not liable for indirect or special damages arising from use of the App. This limit does not apply to damage caused by the Publisher’s intent or gross negligence, and your rights under the law are not reduced by these terms.
  • Apple is not a party to these terms and is not responsible for maintaining or supporting the App. Please direct questions about the App to the Publisher.
  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea, and disputes are handled by the court with jurisdiction under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.

8Changes to these terms

  • If the terms change, this page is updated and the “Last updated” date changes.
  • Changed terms are announced on this page 7 days before they take effect, or 30 days before if the change is unfavourable to you.
  • If you do not agree to the changed terms, stop using the App. If you keep using it after they take effect, you are treated as agreeing.
  • If an update changes how the App handles information, the Privacy Policy is updated before that update is released.
