Soul Bookmark Privacy Policy

No sign-up, ads or tracking. Apple Intelligence on the iPhone is the default AI. Conversation text also goes to the app server, which does not store or log the raw text. Jev requires an explicit choice in Settings and separate consent to external AI processing.

1What goes to the app’s server

To find and choose sentences, the app connects to an app server run by the developer. Requests are told apart only by a random session ID created each time the app starts; it is not stored and changes when you restart the app or tap Settings → 대화 모두 삭제 (delete the whole conversation).

Conversation

The text you typed (or the speech transcript you confirmed), your picks and at most six recent messages. The server checks the text for high-risk phrases and uses fixed keyword rules to choose a sentence.

Browse

The filters you chose and your search words, used only to find sentences and not stored.

Reports

Only which sentence (ID and version) or answer (ID) and the reason you picked. The app attaches no other text. Reports are deleted 30 days after they arrive.

Read aloud

The app fetches the approved sentence text from the server and your iPhone’s own speech synthesis reads it. No audio is sent.

Help contacts

Bundled in the app and refreshed from the server by country. Tapping a number only fills it in the Phone app.

IP address

Seen by the app server and used in memory only, to limit requests per minute.

2Processing and retention on the app’s server

  • The app server does not store conversation text. Storing conversations and logging raw text cannot be switched on, even in the server’s configuration.
  • For each session the server keeps only short-lived processing state in memory (no text: counters, requests in progress, a risk-level ID) and drops it after 30 minutes idle or when you tap Settings → 대화 모두 삭제.
  • Server logs contain fixed event names and numbers only, never your text, search words or transcripts.
  • Access logs of the company hosting the server follow that company’s policy. The hosting company and the region of the server and database will be added to this page as soon as they are confirmed, with a new effective date.

3Default AI and optional external AI

On supported iPhones with Apple Intelligence turned on, Apple’s on-device model (Foundation Models) reads your text first, on the iPhone, to choose what kind of help fits. This step happens only on the iPhone; nothing is sent to Apple’s servers or to Private Cloud Compute.

What this step sends to the app server is only the names of the chosen categories, a status, the time taken, the iOS version and build, and the prompt version, never your text. An iPhone that cannot use Apple Intelligence sends the reason and its iOS version and build with each conversation turn. You can switch this step off in Settings → Apple Intelligence.

The text itself still goes to the app server for safety checks and sentence retrieval. When Apple Intelligence is unavailable, the app uses keywords or your selections, without automatically sending text to Jev.

Choose Jev under Settings → 의도 판단 (intent matching) to use it where the app server offers it and safety checks are available. Separate consent is required before the app server sends your input, confirmed speech transcript, relevant recent conversation and selected preferences to TypeSafe AI's Jev. Raw audio is not sent. If Jev is unavailable, the app names the matching method actually used.

Switching back to Apple Intelligence stops subsequent Jev requests. You can also withdraw external AI consent in Settings. Withdrawal does not itself erase data previously received by an external provider. TypeSafe processing and retention follow your service agreement and its data processing addendum and privacy policy. Avoid entering sensitive personal information into external AI.

The AI only chooses which sentence to show; it makes no automated decision with legal effect.

4Voice input and permissions

Microphone
Used only after you tap 말하기 (speak), to turn speech into text. Recordings are not saved.
Speech recognition
Turns speech into text, on the iPhone when it supports this. Otherwise Apple’s speech recognition server may process the audio, so the app tells you first and lets you choose to type instead or speak anyway. Audio is never sent to the app server.

Everything works by typing without these permissions. No location, contacts, photos, camera or tracking permission is requested.

Links to a sentence’s original source, the privacy policy and the support page open in Safari, and the app sends no referrer.

5What is stored on this iPhone

  • Saved sentences (보관함, library) and settings (tone, packs, excluded topics, switches) stay only in the app’s storage on this iPhone and are never sent to the server. They are excluded from device and iCloud backups.
  • Your conversation history (what you wrote, the app’s replies, the sentences shown and their sources) stays only in the app’s storage on this iPhone and is never sent to the server. It is excluded from device and iCloud backups. The newest 50 exchanges are kept; older ones are deleted first. Each time you send, the app server receives only that message and at most six recent messages.
  • Sentences you viewed with a pack turned on “이번에만” (this time only), and the messages of that exchange, are not stored: the history keeps only the line “이번에만 본 문장이라 저장하지 않았어요” (not saved because it was viewed this time only).

6Sensitive topics

Soul Bookmark is not counselling, diagnosis or treatment. When a message suggests a crisis, the app shows help contacts first (109, 1577-0199, 112, 119 and others).

What you write may reveal feelings or health-related circumstances. The app server uses it only to choose a sentence and does not store it. Your conversation history stays only on this iPhone and you can delete it at any time.

7What the app does not do

  • No account or sign-in.
  • No name, email, phone number, birth date or age, contacts, location or photos.
  • No advertising identifier or device fingerprinting, no tracking, and no App Tracking Transparency prompt.
  • No ads, usage statistics, analytics or crash-reporting tools.
  • No selling of data and no sharing with data brokers.
  • No in-app purchases.

8Retention and deletion

  • Settings → 대화 모두 삭제 (delete the whole conversation) deletes, after asking once and right away, the conversation history on this iPhone, the recent context sent with your next message and the server’s short-lived state. It cannot be undone.
  • 새 이야기 (new conversation) on the conversation screen starts a new conversation and deletes nothing; earlier conversations stay in the history.
  • Settings → 보관함 모두 삭제 (delete the whole library) erases your saved sentences.
  • Touch and hold the app icon on the Home Screen, then tap Remove App → Delete App. The app and all of its data on this iPhone are removed.
  • Reports are not linked to a person, so they cannot be looked up per person; they are deleted automatically 30 days after they arrive.
  • There is no account, so there is no account to delete. The developer holds no copy of your data, so deleted data cannot be restored.

9Diagnostics

Apple passes diagnostic information such as crash reports to the developer only if you turned on “Share With App Developers” in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements. Apple runs this feature and you can turn it off at any time. Soul Bookmark itself sends no diagnostic data.

10If you email us

When you write to sharepoint889@gmail.com, your address and message are stored in the developer’s Gmail inbox. They are used only to reply to you, are not shared with anyone, and are deleted on request.

11Children

Soul Bookmark is designed for adults (19 and over) and is not directed at children. The app does not ask for age and collects nothing that identifies a person, such as a name or contact details.

12Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, this page is updated and the effective date above changes with it. If an update changes how the app handles information, this page is updated before that update is released.

Effective: 2 October 2026
